Remembering The 1916 Rising!
WOLFE TONES FEST
THE WOLFE TONES PRESENT TWO UNIQUE SHOWS IN ONE MEMORABLE WEEKEND!
Friday 19th & Saturday 20th August, 2016
Throughout 2016, the Irish nation will commemorate and celebrate the deeds of the men and women who, 100 years ago in 1916, went out to claim Ireland for the Irish people and to establish a republic for all the children of Ireland. The Wolfe Tones will honour their memory and celebrate their heroic deeds on this special weekend in Killarney.
Such was the reaction and overwhelming feedback received following the SOLD OUT Wolfe Tones Fest over Easter weekend in Dublin, The Wolfe Tones are delighted to bring their acclaimed festival to Killarney's magnificent INEC arena for what promises to be a never to be forgotten weekend for all in attendance!
There will be 2 very special shows on August 19th and 20th. Each show will be unique, as we continue the commemoration of the Rising of 100 years ago. Full show details are below.
As is now customary at Wolfe Tones Fest, as well as individual show tickets, you have the option to purchase weekend concert passes or alternatively, weekend accommodation/ticket packages staying in either the Gleneagle or Brehon Hotels. Both hotels are on the same site as the concert venue in the Irish National Events Centre (INEC).
Early booking is advised as this weekend festival is once again predicted to sell out in advance.

SATURDAY 20TH AUGUST, 2016, 9PM
'THE DUBLIN REBELLION - A 1916 SYMPHONY '
featuring THE WOLFE TONES
& The Celtic Symphony Orchestra
The Wolfe Tones present a very special and unique performance featuring concert orchestra performing the songs, ballads and musical history from the period of, and inspired by, the 1916 Rising. This performance will also feature a specially composed piece of music written by Brian Warfield for the occasion incorporating an oration of the 1916 Proclamation. There will be many ballads relating to this period in Irish history as written, composed and made famous by The Wolfe Tones over the past 5 decades. There will also be five newly composed and written ballads from the pen of Brian Warfield to commemorate the centenary anniversary of 1916! Reaction to this performance from over Easter weekend was nothing short of tremendous, and it is now widely recognised as the principal 1916 Commemorative show in the world today.
